Dr. Saenz was brought to Lafayette from the Center of Disease Control Atlanta to establish the infectious disease/ AIDS department at UMC. He was given an otstanding Humanitarian award by Lafayette. I saw him when I simply couldn't get well, chest cold, sore throat, extreme fatigue. He did a large number of blood tests and diagnosed me with CFIDS. His care and kindness was above and beyond any doctor I've ever had. Compassionate and knowledgeable. I was referred by a father who had taken his daughter all over the country to get a diagnosis. After all physicians seen Dr. Saenz gave her the appropriate diagnosis. Though some ailments may not be able to be completely cured Dr. Saenz uses a practical approach when advising his patients.
