I had seen many psychiatrists after having a supposed breakdown in the mid90s. Dr. Sommers referred me to someone who identified me as having autism. Suddenly it all made sense. It was, and still can be, autistic exhaustion, rather than a mental breakdown. Thank you for thinking outside the box in which only boys or men have autism.
