Patient Reviews
Oct 19, 2024
I was diagnosed with tongue cancer Feb 2021, and then again when I had a reoccurrence in January 2023. I have had a total of 3 surgeries, 35 radiation, 3 Cisplatin Chemo, 6 Carboplatin Chemo, 6 5Fu Chemo, & 2 years of Immunotherapy treatments. I was very nervous & emotional when I met with him, & he was amazing, supportive and attentive. Dr. McFarland takes the time to answer all of your questions, and he truly listens to your concerns while explaining things well. I would always have a 'billion' questions, & he would be patient, and smile the entire time. He is extremely knowledgeable & makes sure you agree & are comfortable with the treatment plan. He knows that I am a 'yes' give me the scan now vs let's wait for 6 months and see kind of pt and he doesn't fault me for it. He doesn't make you feel rushed, is never condescending, & is always very respectful. He gives every one of his pts the time that they need & desire. He has helped me through the worst times of my life & is a 10.
An amazing, patient, kind 10 out of 10 Oncologist, — Oct 19, 2024

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
