I was referred to Dr. Tessler for surgery by another doctor at NYU who was unable to perform it. My first encounter with her caught me off guard- she was very 'no BS' and straight to the point- VERY different from my experiences with past OBGYNs. At first, I worried about her bedside manner and wasn't sure if it was a good match for what I needed. I trusted the recommendation and am so glad I did. Since then, Dr. Tessler has performed multiple surgeries on me, counseled me through a new diagnosis, and been on the other side of numerous video visits and in-person calls. She is an incredible doctor, and as I've gotten to know her more, I've grown to really appreciate her bedside manner. She's always made time to answer my sometimes excessive questions and has been able to ground me in reality facing new and sometimes frightening medical diagnoses. Her team is so kind, and you can really feel the care they put into treating their patients.
