I was in so much pain & extremely frustrated to keep being sent to different providers to perform different tests & procedures. Dr. Birkland & his nurse, Tonya, were extremely understanding, compassionate & empathetic. My appointment was supposed to be a short one, but I was very emotional that day. I was not rushed, it seemed like I was the only patient here that day. They took the time to listen to everything that was going on to truly understand my issues & ordered an MRI of my neck in addition to my spine. No one had ever ordered one of my neck before. Thank God for this kind, intelligent Dr! The MRI showed there was a cyst in my spinal cord & that’s like causing the majority of my issues. Finally! It has been an entire year of being in pain & no one being able to understand or help in any way. I’m extremely grateful to have a Dr on my team to care for me & be empathetic enough to really figure out my issues. Highly recommend!
