Dr Ryan Woods is personable, direct, and highly skilled with accreditation from the Mayo Clinic. He was able to identify an issue and course of treatment, where others have given up. The only point of contention is a steadfast belief that insurance won't pay for the 'experimental' procedures, and his office staff has no issue fighting with you about it. I asked for a pre-auth certification for both insurance plans that I carry as the denial EOB is required to access the FSA/HSA funds. The call center rep stated it is their policy NOT to submit to insurance - going to far as to inform me that I will be signing a form stating that I acknowledge that. I did get to speak with Dr Woods' nurse, and she is having the pre-auth team make contact 'but it's not normal'. Thats all I was after, but the less than personable phone rep was extremely unpleasant and unwilling to assist. I'll pay their fee but lets submit and verifyMaybe I'll have to make the drive to Mayo Clinic after all.
