Picking a primary care physician is so challenging. We met Dr. Patel when he was the hospitalist for my husband at Scottsdale Shea Hospital, during a period of hospitalisation when my husband was at risk of dying of a complicated infection. Dr. Patel was competent in several different medical disciplines, compassionate and truly cared about my husband. He quickly followed up on our concerns across multiple medical specialties and got back to us with results. That was over 12 years ago. From that point on, Dr. Patel has been the primary care physician for both of us.Over the years, we have had a variety of complicated medical issues, and if he couldn't treat us, he knew of and referred us to superb specialists who could and did treat us. In all cases, we have been very happy with the outcomes.To be thorough, I also want to add that.his office staff is also competent and helpful. When you have an urgent medical issue or need an appointment, they get you the care you need
