I wasn't at all sure about this doctor, because she had no reviews I could find, and I'd gone to three other endocrinologists in the area, which I won't name, and wasn't very happy with any of them. The last one had really left me feeling low, they were disdainful and dismissive. Dr. Nelakanti was a wonderful revelation; she's everything I look for in a doctor. First of all, she knows her stuff very well. She took the time to make sure she thoroughly answered any and all questions I had, I never felt rushed or like she had someone more important to see. She respected what I had to say and was not dismissive; indeed, I felt very validated. She gave me new information on some things no other doctor had ever explained. In short, she was kind, knowledgeable, approachable, and exactly the kind of doctor I like to find. I see a LOT of doctors, and unfortunately, this combination of virtues is altogether too rare.
