Patient Reviews

Dr.Saleem Tahir MD was always friendly and so was the staff. He answered all my questions and helped me. When I first went to Dr.Saleem Tahir he took me off Depakote the pill did not work,he started me on primidone the pill has been working, I just have to watch that the phenobarbital level doesn't get too high or too low. Plus the last 13 years I have not had a seizure. Also he knows that I have to watch out that my white cells and platelet counts don't go lower than normal and not too high, if the levels go low I get bruises and if the phenobarbital is low I start crying and withdrawal. If the white cells and platelet get too high at 200 we have to watch out for other problems. If my phenobarbital is high I start getting depressed and cry, only difference about it being low I withdrawal when the level is high I get hyper and yell at people also when it is high I am running faster than normal to hurt my feet, knees, legs etc. So I know that I have to keep an eye on all dr.tahir said.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
