Dr. Van de Velde is an incredibly skilled surgeon. I cannot say enough about him and his team. I sought four opinions (at HSS, other NYC hospitals, and Boston) after being diagnosed with hip dysplasia and recommended for a PAO. Dr. Van de Velde's professionalism, knowledge, and skill superseded all ohter opinions and visits. His calm nature and sharp mind are evident on first meeting. I am also incredibly grateful for his remarkably small incision site and neat screw placement. It is, perhaps, one of the smallest incision sites in existence. I am so grateful for it when I see other women's PAO incision sites. His NP, Ms. Lee, is also incredibly helpful, responsive, and kind. Dr. Van de Velde is a hidden gem. Take the trip out to Brooklyn. It is well worth your time. I am so grateful I made the decision to go with Dr. Van de Velde.
