Patient Reviews
Mar 12, 2023
I was diagnosed with Stargardts disease 25 years ago when I was living in New York City. I have seen more than a dozen ophthalmologists since then. Now I live in Minneapolis. After my examination by Dr. Montezuma last week, I can report that she and her staff are among of the very best I have encountered. She is thorough, inquisitive, knowledgeable of latest developments in this changing field and personable. Because of my late in life vision loss, I can be very intense when discussing my experience with an authority. She did not find me off-putting, but was thoroughly engaging. Bless her.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
