My husband had a large suspicious rectal polyp detected during a routine 5yr colonoscopy. Dr. Ngam to whom he was referred at Hopkins, completely removed it via an endoscopic procedure called ESD. My research revealed numerous advantages of the procedure, most significantly precluding the need for major surgery. I learned that Dr. Ngam had studied the procedure in Japan and was considered the best. Dr. Ngam graciously met with us after the procedure. She patiently and clearly explained what she accomplished and gave follow-up instructions. We are so grateful to Dr. Ngam and to Dr. Hamza Abdulla at Gastroenterology at Easton for the referral. The facilities at Hopkins Bayview were easily accessible. The staff was extremely helpful and supportive.
