It's been 9 years since I consulted Dr Sara Samimi. I suffered from severe itching after my youngest daughter was born. I went to many different doctors, from physicians to oncologists to dermatologists. No one could find out the reason for my itching. Finally, I got an appointment at UPenn Hospital, and consulted Dr Samimi. After discussing with the other doctors, she told me that it may have been due to a couple of reasons, with lung cancer being the prominent one. My eyes welled up with tears. I didn't hear anything else the doctor said. I was just thinking about my kids, who were only 2, 7, and 9 years old at the time. The doctor told me to get a chest X-Ray. Dr Samimi called me at 9:00 pm that same day, telling me that my X-Ray results came out fine. It was a huge relief for me. I can't thank her enough for making that call!
