Early this year I was diagnosed with cancer of the vocal ccords. Started radiation. Didn't work, and caused problem that required me to have a Trakeamody. This caused pain, hard to breath, and loss of sleep. Fed only by tube, and losing hope.. I has referred to Dr. Rhode. I had lost 40 lbs and was very weak. She saw that a laryngectomy was my best bet to survive and have a life. Now 8 weeks later I have gained weight/strength, and have my life back. Just lucky to to have found her!!!
