I was on a BiPAP machine for central sleep apnea for years. Then, my apnea events went to 30. My Cape Cod doctor said that I probably needed an ASV Machine, but I needed a new sleep study. After 2 new sleep studies at Falmouth Hospital, 6 months of poor, interrupted sleep and nothing being done, I heard about Dr. Saras Muppana. I went to her office for an appointment, and she determined that I needed the ASV machine, but that I needed to go to Beth Israel in Milton for a new sleep study. The Beth Israel facility was very impressive, modern and comfortable. ONE WEEK after my sleep study, Dr. Muppana got my ASV machine approved, and less than one week later I received my new machine. My apnea events are now between 3 and 5. Dr. Muppana has been working with me to improve my quality of sleep. She is by far one of the most caring physicians that I have worked with. She is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to her patients well-being.
