I've had tmj most of my life. I've been treated by a dozen doctors and none helped. A year ago, my jaw became painful on both sides. I've never been able to chew gum or bite into a sandwich, but it came to a point where opening my mouth to eat soup was an issue. The cracks and pops in my jaw could be heard across a room. Dr. Ram made a bite plate for me and I've worn it every night for the last 8 months. The pain is gone, I can chew without my jaw popping, and as a bonus, I sleep better.
