He came in an hour before surgery and provided an excellent overview of what he was going to do and why. Because of my heart condition, he explained the reason for an arterial catheter that allowed for real-time monitoring of arterial pressure. We also discussed bloodless surgery and we agreed on an alternative product to use, if necessary.
