I have a special-needs sister who is nonverbal. Several months ago she developed a kidney stone… She had no way of telling us other than showing her pain as to what was going on. We waited in a local hospital for over 55 hours in the ER with no resolve. We discharged her from that ER and took her to Mount Nittany. Dr. Geiger was on call at the time and within hours she was having a stent put in. It also revealed that she needed her gallbladder removed. Dr. Geiger referred her to a surgeon who did the surgery within a day. we can’t think Dr Geiger enough for the compassion that he showed towards our sister. His bedside manner was one that gave her and our family comfort. I would recommend him highly!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
