Lung Cancer diagnosis in my 50s. Dr Hachey was upfront and pleasantly blunt with any and all medical information--such as prognosis and diagnosis. He didn't sugarcoat things, nor did he use being honest as an excuse to be mean or bullying. He was simply honest about giving information. For the parts of our interactions that weren't 100% him giving me info, he was not only polite, but kind. He obviously doesnt want to waste time chatting about nonsense, but was willing to spend time completely answering questions related to my condition. Was prompt in ensuring I got test results...and that I understand what is ahead of me. Bluntness combined with compassion is a great combo for any doc dealing with desperate medical conditions.
