A few years ago I arrived by ambulance at St. Vincent's Hospital, Santa Fe, in the middle of the night with a femur broken at the hip. Dr. McCord and his nurses repaired the leg with a titanium insert and ball joint. These are still working perfectly, and I am still hiking trails in the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountains. I am 91 years old now. I broke the leg at home!
