Patient Reviews
Oct 13, 2023
Doctors can’t change a prognosis or a diagnosis but they certainly can change how a patient is treated. My father was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. He went for a CAT scan and the results were very confusing. Somebody in the field recommended that we see Dr. Benkel as he has an excellent reputation for, his empathic care. Booking an appointment was an absolute pleasure and his staff make sure that we were seen immediately. The second Dr. Benkel came in, his calm and professional demeanor had an instant effect. My mother and father were both very scared, and Dr. Benkel took painstaking time to not only calm them, but to walk them through the CAT scan results, and the next steps of likely treatment. my father understood that the prognosis was not great, but he felt so much better after seeing Dr. Benkel. There are not that many silver linings in this field, but our visits with Dr. Benkel certainly were moments of kindness and reassurance. Thank you Dr. Benkel!!

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
