After 2 previous brain surgeries with long recovery times and side effects like paralysis, I was leery about surgery to remove yet another tumor. This one was discovered in a long-delayed MRI I got at the insistence of my daughter and boyfriend. Fortunately, it was small and located near the top of my brain. We found out about LiTT surgery thru research. I was very happy to find I could have the surgery locally.Dr Oliveria and his team did an excellent job of describing the process and preparing me for the surgery. It happened very fast; 2 weeks from the time the tumor was discovered.Post surgery I was only in the hospital overnight, returning to one night with my daughter, then home on my own the second night after surgery. No side effects at all, not even nausea from the anesthesia. I am very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Dr. Oliveria to anyone needing this type of surgery.
