Dr Steiner saw me when I went to the ER with numbness down one side. Within minutes of checking me out, he took matters seriously (when I just thought I had a trapped nerve) and called back the MRI team that had already gone home, to do scans, bypassing the need for CT. Many hours later, past midnight, he saw me still waiting for admission to the ward, and took the time to come over and kindly, compassionately suggest I might be facing an MS diagnosis. He was proven right, many tests and weeks later. Eternally grateful for his assessment and swift action, considering how long it usually takes to get a clear diagnosis of MS.
