I consider myself EXTREMELY LUCKY,that in very difficult & challenging moment of my life I've met Dr. Shahryar Ashouri ! He is my saving grace: super professional , smart,no nonsense modern Doctor with manners of an Old School Doctors from far past. Dr. Ashouri met me immediately after colonoscopy ( also UCLA),he diagnosed Stage 3 rectal cancer & worked my treatment plan. To say,I was scared & devastated, it is NOTHING! Dr. Ashouri sat thru my 1st chemo session, talking to me. I will be forever grateful for kindness. I went thru chemo, radiation, more chemo & First surgery. After surgery I didn't feel well at all & again my Oncologist was there to help to put me back on my feet. My bloodwork is fantastic now, getting ready for 2d surgery & seeing my favorite Doctor in UCLA for monthly check up. The communication with my Doctor is easy & fast,he ALWAYS PERSONALLY calls to update me on the results of tests. Now I know at least 6 people ( my clients),who were SAVED by Dr. Ashouri !

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
