I've been Dr. Ma's patient for several years. In the hospital portal, you can read the doctor's recap of the history you gave them. I was stunned when I read mine. Very detailed & accurate, which is unusual in my experience. I have polyps on both sides. Usually doctors suggest surgery& when I say I don't want it, that's it. (I'm in my mid 70s & think anesthesia does bad things to senior brains.) Dr. Ma accepted my decision & suggested alternatives. I was referred to her by an ENT who had prescribed something that didn't work. She suggested something else. It works! My sense of smell is better than it has been in 20 years. According to my Fitbit, my breaths per minute while sleeping are 2 lower than before. My sleeping heart rate is lower. She did insist on a pinprick allergy test. I was hesitant because I thought I knew all my allergens by my 70s, but it turned out that I wasn't entirely right. Plus, Dr. Ma is just a really nice person. She actually listens.
