Let's talk numbers. SEVEN - surgeons/healthcare providers that I saw before getting a definitive diagnosis for my chronic, agonizing pain. NINE - incorrect diagnoses I was awarded (lucky me) before someone got it right. ONE - minute it took Dr. Mayer to diagnose my congenital hip dysplasia and resulting soft tissue damage and osteoarthritis. Until meeting Dr. Mayer, I left appointments with chronic pain management specialists from multiple businesses and assessments with orthopedic surgeons at Swedish Hospital and other HCA facilities sobbing from frustration or insult. I left my appointment with Dr. Mayer crying with relief. I had an answer, a plan, a future that might not include sleeping on ice packs and screaming from the random stabs of pain. All of this wonderful stuff, AND she's kind, professional, informative, knowledgeable, patient, compassionate. I really, truly cannot rave enough about my experience. Also: Thank you Jordan and Brittany for being so incredible.
