My fiancé was brought to St. Mary's after a motorcycle accident. It was our first experience with Mercy Health. Overall the care was high average, but not as cohesive as Spectrum Health. There were a couple stand out nurses, but the true star was Dr. Terrell. When you have 5 broken ribs and a collapsed lung, the pain can be unbearable. She had his pain so well managed that he often was in the 2-4 range! Plus, her forward thinking prevented him from problems like muscle spasms and nerve pain. 5+
