Patient Reviews

Yes, you might call everyday until she has an opening for new patient. You will wait a while because she spends 2 to 3 hours with a patient. She only ends the apt when the patient has covered everything and she knows they have all the info they need. I don't mind waiting. I would rather and get an expert completely devoted to me than not have to wait & have a doctor spend 5 mind with me. I saw 3 other neurologists, including one at Chapel Hill. They either blew me off or ran every test and scan possible. Dr McAdams looked at my original MRI and told me I have MS. She has ordered a set of MRIs once since then. She is an expert in her field and isn't trying to run up a bill with unnecessary tests. And her staff is amazing. If you don't want wait, she's not for you. But if you can get in as a new patient, you will get someone who knows Neurology & only cares about how to help her patients. The fact that it is so hard to get an apt as a new patient & you have to wait should be good signs

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
