Dr. Eftekhari is absolutely fantastic. I've had some bad experiences with dentists before, causing me to be super scared and therefore not going to check ups until it's too late, heaping on more bad experiences. However, Dr. Eftekhari really made a difference for me. Not only does she have the gentlest touch and more patience and empathy than most people -- she also figured out that some of the local anesthetics many dentists use simply don't work on me, and therefore switched to a different one. In a nutshell: Dr. Eftekhari believed me when I said I was in pain. And while you would think that shouldn't be as much of a big deal, it really is, because that has not been my experience with many other dentists. Am I still scared of dentists? Absolutely. But by now I manage to go to (most) of my check ups, so that is definitely a win! I also took my daughter to her when she needed her baby teeth pulled, and even she raves about her.
