I saw Dr. Sarkaria for about a year during the hardest time in my life. I lost my wife and had two young kids to help navigate through the loss of their mother. The months following her passing we were in survival mode and Dr. Sarkaria was right there supporting me and indirectly my children. She identified and explained what I was feeling, the process of grief and trauma and that I had OCD. She proposed a prescription and explained how it worked and left the decision with me. After some thought I agreed and it has helped me tremendously. Through treatment she also identified I may be dyslexic and suggested my daughter be tested. I had my daughter tested, it was confirmed and is now getting the proper support at school for it.Given I was a new single parent with a full-time job she was flexible with scheduling, made herself available for tele-therapy and filled out the necessary paperwork for my leave. Her dog offers nothing but love. I am forever grateful she came into my life!
