Excellent care. Have had 2 colonoscopies and EGD procedures done by Dr. Mayes. First time showed Barrett’s esophagus and prescribed continued GERD meds and lose some weight. No one wants to hear “lose some weight”, but with chronic GERD and long history of taking meds to manage it, I decided to listen to her and focus on losing weight. Lost 20 pounds and no more Barrett’s seen during next EGD! Went on a milder med and will go back in a few years. A PLUS. Doctors can only help you if you follow their recommendations even if it means considerable effort on your part. She was right about the need to lose weight to manage my GERD and heal the esophagus.
