I never had back problems. After helping a friend move, my lower back got worse every day. So many people had said Do not have back surgery. I held off as long as I could. I did PT, stretching every day. I ended up in the hospital for a week. I had made an appointment with Dr. Manning, canceling simply from fright. After a week in the hospital with still no relief I made another appointment. After very thorough Xray, cat scan. Dr Manning discovered, not only was my lower lumbar L5- S1 7 cm off. My spinal cord was being pinched. I was scheduled for a cervical Laminectomy in September and lumbar fusion L5 S1 October 22. Within days after the lumbar surgery, I was out of the severe pain. If Dr. Manning had not discovered the pinched spinal cord prior to lumbar surgery. I could have been paralyzed. I am happy to say I walk for an hour daily, stretch and back to work and enjoying life. His staff from receptionist to David and Jeff are amazing! I am 66. Thank you all! Laura
