I met Dr. Desmarais about a year ago when I was referred to his office by my primary doctor. The end result of the last carotid scan, Dr. Desmarais recommended that I have a carotid endarterectomy(I had to look up how to spell it :) During the appointment with Dr. Desmarais, he took the time to explain the procedure, including drawing a picture of the procedure, the risks involved plus the side effects. At the end of the appointment, I felt so relieved and comforted knowing this procedure would benefit me, and my possible longevity of my life as I am soon to be a great grandma! :) Dr. Desmarais is a respected surgeon not only by his staff and his team at St. Vincent, but also in the medical field including Bozeman Health. Dr. Desmarais has a unique ability to combine the expertise of his profession, along with the ability to connect with his patients, including the ability to interject appropriate humor when meeting with him! My family, including me, thanks you! Blessings! :)
