Patient Reviews
Oct 19, 2024
I was diagnosed with psoriasis 30 years ago and now, between dermatologists, I am having serious arthritis issues. Dr. Ovid listened to the symptoms and agreed with my hypothesis that my arthritis is most likely psoriatic. My previous rheumatologist completely dismissed this idea but was willing to do “an X-ray.” Dr. Ovid ordered an extensive X-ray screening based on my description of the symptoms. So far, I am very impressed with the way he listened to me, with his bedside manner, and his knowledge. The only reason I am here writing this review is that I hoped he might be a good recommendation for my daughter, who needs her possible fibromyalgia diagnosed (it looks like this is not his specialty) and I saw negative reviews. So I wanted to share MY experience, lest anyone choose a doctor based on these. I don’t recommend skipping over him just because of a few bad experiences. Looking forward to follow up with his PA.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
