I have been a patient of Dr. Jayne's since about 2000. The fact that he works in a practice with a group of therapists because he understands the value of treating mental health disorders from both a psychological and a psychiatric perspective makes him stand out from the crowd. He won't force you into therapy, but he will gladly refer you to a therapist in his office; choosing which one is best suited to you. I've never felt rushed in a visit; if things are stable, it might be 15 minutes but if changes need to be made, it might be 45 minutes (he's also never been super late for an appt, so his office knows how to handle his schedule). He is friendly, compassionate, professional,will take the time to explain how medications work, is honest about pros and cons, and makes it a collaborative process. I just can't recommend him highly enough.
