I have almost 50 years of Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology experience as a Technologist and Manager and have worked with many physicians during that time. Dr. Whitfield is one of the top physicians that I have encountered that has the perfect balance of compassionate listening and communication skills and state of the art technical expertise.I was admitted through Williamson Medical Center ER and Dr. Whitfield performed a cath on me the following morning that revealed 100 percent occlusion of the LAD (widow maker) artery in my heart from a blood clot.He cleared the clot and placed a stent to keep it open and saved my life. I will be forever grateful to him and and the outstanding Cath Lab staff that took care of me. I consider myself very fortunate to have him as my Cardiologist. Thank you Dr. Whitfield and all of the staff at the hospital that took care of me.
