I have been a client of dr Ballard for years as I’ve worked through some very difficult things. She is extremely thorough in explaining different conditions and medications, and doesn’t jump to conclusions based on a few symptoms. Also, it is worth noting that she doesn’t meet with sales reps for drug companies, and doesn’t try to push any meds based on anything but my individual situations and her knowledge and experience. She’s easily the best psych I’ve ever worked with, and I have never hesitated to fire a psych if I didn’t feel like they thoroughly understood the drugs they prescribed or just checked boxes without much consideration to bigger picture issues I may not recognize on my own.
