He saved my foot. Because he knew at my age (only 43 at the time) I still possibly had time to still use it. He could have recommended an amputation that would only take a few hours but opted for the ten hour limb sparing surgery. And even though he didn’t get clean margins (impossible practically) I’m still here and I still have my foot. Thank you Dr Bertrand.
