We were referred to Dr. Burdette and his staff by our Breast Care Surgeon Lana Shikhman MD. We interviewed another plastic surgeon as well, but felt most comfortable with Dr. Burdette's approach and demeanor. He educated my wife and me about all of the options and let us make the final decisions. His reassuring way and confidence in his abilities and his staff's abilities gave us the confidence that we needed during a difficult time. The surgery went well. About a week later, through no fault of his or his staff, we had an emergency bleed that required emergency surgery. Unfortunately for us, Dr. Burdette was away for the weekend and was unable to perform the surgery. His associate Dr. K stepped in and after consulting with Dr. Shikhman we decided to have Dr. K perform the surgery. This surgery was much less time but stressful nonetheless. After several months of follow-up visits, the final surgery was performed by Dr. Burdette and once again the surgery went well. Happy outcome.
