Patient Reviews
Oct 30, 2024
After my local orthopedic Dr told me he was “Luke warm” to perform arthroscopic surgery because of the severity of my injuries he recommended a reverse shoulder replacement and suggested I get a second opinion. I’m very happy he did. I went to HSS and scheduled an appointment with Dr Wanich. Dr Wanich spent a long time reviewing my mri with considerable amount of time discussing options. He did not recommend reverse shoulder replacement due to compromised range of motion post surgery. And he had a plan if my two tears were not repairable during arthroscopic surgery. He woyld evacuate the extent of my injuries at the beginning of the surgery. If they weren’t repairable he would perform a muscle transfer which was more involved. The day of surgery when I asked about the procedure he basically told me “there is less than a 1 percent chance of me performing a muscle transfer “. And I was relieved to hear that. Dr Wanich was a calming and confident force that morning. And with success
Rotator cuff Surgery was totally successful — Oct 30, 2024
