Dr Bercu was the physician in charge of my mother’s care for 4 days in April at Torrance Memorial. She made my mom feel like she was the most important patient in the hospital. I watched as she interacted with my mom several times. She spent more time with my mother than any other doctor ever has. She was always patient, explained the lab work and her diagnosis, ensuring my mom understood. Dr. Bercu listened to my mom’s concerns and was extremely respectful. Her approach reduced my mom’s fears and helped her to heal faster.
