My husband is very difficult to anesthetize. In 2020, 6 anesthesiologists took 20 minutes to get him out. We were told to coordinate a future surgery with a prominent anesthesiologist. Steve needed surgery to relieve pressure on his spinal cord. We scheduled twice with this anesthesiologist. On the day of surgery, he was a no-show. I was shocked, scared & angry. Dr. Lencho arrived as lead anesthesiologist working with Dr. Bill Roberts at Dublin Methodist. I explained the situation. He said they'd figure out something SAFE. He was calm & reassuring, and took time to answer questions. He reviewed Steve's entire surgical history. He agreed to talk to me afterwards. Dr. Roberts found me and said it went great. Dr. Lencho talked to me later. In 20 surgeries, no anesthesiologist has talked to me afterwards. They figured out a safe new way for Steve. Dr. Tura T. Lencho handled an emotionally charged situation with calm confidence. He's a problem solver & my hero! 10 stars!
