Dr Batzdorf performed a decompression restructure on my skull and removed a non-working shunt from my spinal cord in 1995. I was his 2nd patient to have that type of surgery. It saved the quality of my life and I live a pretty normal life because of him. He has answered questions willingly over the years and I will forever be grateful for his knowledge, insight, bravery, and compassion. He was the only surgeon at the time that was willing to give me a different diagnosis from constant shunt replacement that eventually would have paralyzed me. I owe my life to him and will forever be grateful that he was there to help.
