Patient Reviews
Apr 03, 2020
I visited Dr. Patel following a referral for elevated liver enzymes. She was attentive and listened to possible causes. Also, her questions were probing. She was knowledgeable regarding possible medications as causes. She followed up regarding lab results. Another problem was discovered during my visit not related to her specialty and she contacted the appropriate MD I am seeing for the condition along with all of my other MDs at VCUHS. She has offered to confer with another MD regarding "safe medications" I can take.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
