I am the Dr. Bello of whom the negative review is written, regarding a Diabetic Eye Exam and Refraction. In a comprehensive exam, the doctor has to determine what the patient's BEST corrected vision is. This is achieved by doing a refraction, which is the determination of the eye measurement for glasses. This is not cover by medical insurance, in this case Medicare. For this lady, her degree of discontent was such that I waved the charge. Her not understanding her own coverage kept her protesting the services rendered as unnecessary. Far from the truth. I pride myself in providing care to my patients comprehensively, with professionalism, with compassion, with competence acquired through good training and remaining up to date with the advances in medicine.This patient is completely wrong in her assessment.
