In 2013 Dr. McCabe helped repair a giant para-esophagel hernisa I had along with a general surgeon, all laporoscopically. Dr McCabe had to enter my chest and detach my stomach from my atrium. My stomach had herniated into my chest, upside down and twisted. I recovered well from the whole procedure, as my stomach was brought down below my diaphragm and a funduplication was done by the general surgeon to keep my stomach in place. I am eternally greatful for their excellent surgery and care.
