Dr. Siegel cares about an accurate diagnosis and the LONG TERM wellbeing of his patients and not just about quickly dispensing a pill. My dad has gone to see Dr. Siegel about some stomach gas pain, bloating and constipation. He just wanted a script for very strong laxatives but, after a physical exam, Dr. Siegel refused to write a script and felt it was necessary for my dad to go to an emergency room instead. At first, my dad was frustrated – who wants to sit 5 hours in ER wait room over some constipation? However, Dr. Siegel has never given my dad a wrong diagnosis or suggestion in 20 years of treating him so he reluctantly obliged. Turned out my dad had a serious colon blockage that could have led to a colon rupture so he was admitted on the spot. Two days later and after a host of procedures, my dad got a clean bill of health and was discharged. In hindsight, thank God, my dad went to an ER and didn’t take laxatives that could have torn his colon. Thank you, Dr. Siegel!
