I was sent from the Urgent Care to the ER, Dr. Gretzinger was my ED doc. He explained everything and asked permission instead of ordering me around. he explained the risks/benefits of a procedure he thought I should have and said this is your decision and you have to be comfortable with it. When it was decided to wait and come back the following day he said we'll check your labs and go from there I felt in control of my healthcare the whole time. Informed consent at it's finest.
