I’ve seen my share of psychiatrists the last 20 years. Dr. Bud stands out as one of the most caring invested passionate, thoughtful. He is the only MD psychiatrist I’ve known to facilitate intimate therapy groups, which have profound benefits unavailable in one on one therapy. His diagnostic model is integrative: social, economic, and life experiences. His mammalian evolutionary perspective based around core needs and wants is both refreshing and insightful.Like any psychiatrist, his schedule is constrained. For the best experience, make in hour long appointment. You can’t expect much in 20 to 30 minutes. During the five years I’ve met with him quarterly, I can’t think of one session where he wasn’t liberal and generous with his time. The negative reviews suggest patients who don’t appreciate a psychiatrist who promotes a multi model POV beyond pill pushing. If you’re looking for a typical MD drug dispenser, Dr. Bud is not for you.
