Years ago my grandmother had a badly abscessed front tooth and she was in tremendous pain. She was well into her 90’s and in very frail health both mentally and physically, so it was not a good predicament for sure. Although my sister and I had been Dr. Barksdale’s patients for years, our grandmother had never seen him so we were unsure if he would take on a new patient especially in such precarious circumstances. We called Dr. Barksdale and explained the situation and without hesitation her immediately came to our aid. He was so patient with her and so efficient and painless in removing her tooth that it was out even before she knew what was happening. That’s been years ago and my grandmother has long passed, so perhaps Dr. Barksdale may not even remember that incident - but I can assure you that my family and I never forgot his kindness and compassion. He not only does excellent dental work, he truly cares about his patients. He’s a blessing.
